About Us
Our President
Omar A. Karim is an experienced real estate development and construction professional having successfully led the development and construction of over $500 million in public and private projects over the past 17 years.
Prior to founding Banneker MidAtlantic, Mr. Karim led development and construction projects for Banneker Ventures and Bundy Development Corporation. Prior to that, he was an associate with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, a leading New York law firm where he counseled private and public investment companies.
Mr. Karim currently serves as Co-Chair of the Washington, DC Regional Advisory Board of College Track, Inc., a college completion program with sites in Ward 8 (DC) and Suitland, Maryland in Prince George’s County. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization, Real Estate Executive Council, and African American Real Estate Professionals of Washington, DC.
He is a former member of the Board of the Washington Area Community Investment Fund and Howard University Board of Trustees.
Mr. Karim received his J.D. degree from the Howard University School of Law and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Howard School of Engineering.
